Portraying a leukemia patient

Hello everyone. I'm looking for feedback from those of you who are survivors or are currently fighting leukemia. I was just cast in the play Marvin's Room and my character has leukemia. If there is anything you could tell me that would help me bring truth to my character, it would be greatly appreciated. I admire you all and want to make you proud. Thanks.

Congratulations on getting casted. All I can tell you is that having leukemia makes you frustrated, angry, and scared. But it brings family close, thankful for what you have, and makes you look at your life in the past, present, and future. This is mostly just the emotional stuff most cancer patients including the patients with leukemia feel. Hopes this helps. Good luck!0
