Ben is slated to start chemo on Sept 20th.. that if he wounds heal intime.. still a issue here.I wasnt unable to go with him for his first appointment back when they discuss his treatment options. As I had just gotten home myself from neck surgery. so not sure yet what they are planning on using it will be interesting tho..As its great what leaps they have made since his last treatments..There isnt this rush rush to start chemo like they has in the past there view is Ben isnt curable.. so they rather let him heal his wounds.. then risk infection..this is rather to starve off or slow down him recurring again.
I am now 3 and 4 weeks post-op as of tomorrow for my two neck surgeries. my pain is still there but I am coping. I am just happy both Ben and me have our surgeries behind us for right now.Its been a crazy summer here.
Teresa.. aka wife of a 11 year stage3 3x recurred.. yes there is hope.

You are absolutely right, the best news is that you and Ben have your surgeries behind you and now you can both start healing together. Hang tough for each other. Hold each other up and help each other get strong. My mom is a three time survivor, too. She's doing quite well. It's a genetic thing with her and me. (Why couldn't she have given me the "tall" genes or the "good looking" genes? Oh, no, she had to give me "THOSE" genes! - I'm just kidding, I wouldn't change a THING.)
You guys hang in there together. Buoy each other up with love, affection and hope.
Keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers.
