I was on Effexor to help with hot flashes. It worked for awhile, then I started having a lot of hot flashes again. Doctor switched me to Zoloft, and things are much better. But I think our bodies get accustomed to certain medications, then they aren't as effective as when we first start taking them. Anyway, you might ask your doc if you should try the Zoloft.

I had wicked Hot flashes all summer and even worse after lupron injections. My doctor gave me Neurontin which at first I didn't want to take but It works great no more sweaty days and sleepless nights.0
