Find it emotionally difficult to leave the house, even to find a job

After 3 years of dealing with my wife's breast cancer I lost 3 jobs and now I've seemed to have lost confidence enough to even go out to apply for one. This is about 6 months after she has been in remission from the mastasis in her bones. She still has alot of pain to deal with, however even with the money we get from her SS disability and public aid, we need more income, but I just find it too difficult to venture outside the home. Am I making any sense to anyone?

yes, you are making a lot of sense to me. I have difficulty leaving my husband for even 2 seconds. He has had colon cancer surgery and chemotherapy. He is going through a lot of things still even though his last chemotherapy was back in August, such as extreme tiredness, emotional upheavals, depression, etc. When I do leave him such as going to the store, I feel so guilty.0
