Radiology results
Hi, I have a sister who went in for a transvaginal ultrasound thinking she had fibroids. The doctor wasn't there to read the radiology report so the nurse did and it said that leoimyosarcoma was one of the things it could be. My sis was so shocked that she didn't comprehend the rest of the choices. She did ask if fibroids were one of the things it could be and was told yes. She was told to see a doctor "within the month". Naturally she was scared as this is a rare cancer. Can the doctor who does the ultrasound diagnose this type of cancer just from the report? She has to wait another week to see another doctor. Any info would be appreciated! Thanks!
