Hi, my sister was just diagnosed with an advanced stage of pancreatic cancer. Our family is looking for an oncologist in the Raleigh, North Carolina area. We need a doctor who is compassionate, knowledgeable and understands the need for pain management.
Thanks for any help in identifying qualified onc. specialists.

Hello-
Sorry to hear about your sister.
You could try ging to the site for Pancreatic Cancer called: pancan.org
It may be of some help in locating a compassionate Oncologist in your area. It is a national organization. I am not from your area but thought this site might help you.
Take care !!

My sister went to Dr. ONeill at UNC is Raleigh Durham. I would not reccommend him as she was released and the nausea was not under control. I wish I knew someone better. My sister is now going to someone who is more compassionate in New Bern her home town but we do not think he is knowlegable of all the treatments. If I get a hold of a good Dr. out there I will let you know. My prayers are with you. Do not give up on your sister.
