I've just been through my second set of treatments for OVCA. Diag. in Dec. of 2002 with Stage IV, had a total of 11 rounds taxol/carbo plus debulking surgery after 3 rounds. Went into a partial remission (still had pleural effusion sp?) for 7 months. At that point my CA125 was 280. Started up with taxol/carbo again and had a allergic reaction to carbo the third round, proceeded with just taxol for 3 more rounds. My CA125 was at 35 before we did chemo today. My Dr. wants me to get a second opinion/evaluation for autologous stem cell transplant. Have any of you had one? Any hints, any helpful info.? I'd appreciate anything....Atina
