You're symptoms sound very similar to those that I had last fall - except I put up with them for about three weeks before I finally went to the ER, I was in such pain.
Don't worry to much about it, you'll be seeing your Dr on Tuesday so you are doing the right thing. Be sure that you ask them to run a CA125 blood test, so that you can rule that out. I'm sure they'll be having you get a CT scan done, as well as some other tests (even xrays).
Good luck, and let us know how things go - we are here for you.

Just some extra information that may help... I would ask your doctor for a PET scan too. Positron Emission Tomography (PET). Please visit http://www.nationalpetscan.com/petovew.htm for more information.0

Ok i went to the dr on tue the 13th they did a urine test and a ultrasound. they said there were no cysts on my ovaries or tumors, i was not pregnant, its not my appendix, and its not my bladder. So what is it. I'm not crazy. I know its not muscle cause it would hurt worse while in my tae kwon do class. I go back this week and hopefully find out more. oh yeah i started my period on tues and it was very unusual compared to normal. it was chunky and stringy instead of bloody. i know that's gross sounding. the pain is not cramps though. i always have bad cramps and this is way different. i will keep you posted.gorget said:You're symptoms sound very similar to those that I had last fall - except I put up with them for about three weeks before I finally went to the ER, I was in such pain.

Insist that they do some blood tests (including CA125). They did all kinds of CAT scans, Xrays and things like that, but nothing pointed the way until I had bloodwork done. First of all, it will rule out ovarian cancer (perhaps not definitively, but it is a good indicator for the most part), which would give you some piece of mind, and there are other blood test they should be doing (CBC, bilirubin for your liver, etc.) These are non-invasive tests and can rule out so much.
Please keep us posted on how things went/go this week. Remember that you're not alone in this.

Has anyone suggested a uterine biopsy or a d&c? Considering your symptoms, I think one of them would certainly be in order. I was diagnosed with uterine cancer before the ovarian cancer I had was found, and I had similar symptoms to yours. A CA-125 is only effective in 50% of Stage 1 or 2 ovarian cancers and can be affected by other problems (such as liver), so it's not a dependable tool at all for diagnosis of ovarian cancer. I'm sure your doctor would agree to do a biopsy or d&c. I had a "mini" biopsy that diagnosed the uterine cancer. It's a very common women's cancer, more so than ovarian.
You don't say how old you are, but if you're old enough to have periods, you're old enough to have either uterine or ovarian cancers, and don't let your doctor discount your symptoms because of your age!0
