My husband has participated in four studies. If your interested let me know. I can get you the names. My husband goes to UCLA Medical Center. He has been stage IV for 8 years and he has had 6 tumors removed and 3 brain tumors are dormant after sterostatic radiosurgery. He works everyday and has a great quality of life.
Good Luck!! Keep fighting.0 -
I am presently on an autogulous vaccine at Hoag Prespretarian Hospital in Newport Beach. The study is free but you have to travel out there and have your shots there. I had a reaccurance and the tumor they removed is being used as my vaccine. I have been free of that area for a year. But just recently had a tumor removed from my brain but is different because of the blood brain barrier. Good luck. Cindy0

I hope I am doing this right. What kind of vaccine and studies has your husband been on? I have been in stage IV for three years. I have had three tumors removed. I am really interested in the sterostatic radiosurgery. I had a brain tumor removed on the 28th of February and a Gliasite balloon put in the cavity and had a reaction which has been folowed by a plumonary embolism and an infection which now has made three operations. I am trying to decide if I should do follow-up steiostatic radisurgery or a machine call Linac. I have been looking at the center in Hoag Medical in Newport Beach. That is where I presently go for my autogulous vaccine. I would like to kekep in touch with you as it seems there are not a lot of us survivors.RCDolmaker said:My husband has participated in four studies. If your interested let me know. I hope you get this. My husband is stage 4 for 1-1/2 years, stage 3 before that and thought he was cancer free for 13 years before that when he had his 1st site removed - level 3. He has undergone bio chemotherapy with IL-2, cisplatin and Interferon - 4 rounds, then maintenance with Il-2 and GSM-FS, both hospital pulses and daily shots. Now he's had recurrences in the soft tissue.I would like to find out more about your husbands clinical trials.
