Prostate Cancer

Jason,
Glad to see someone is interested at an early age especially with a history of family cancers.
Doctors will give you all of the stats on when you should begin etc.. but in your case you should ask and be getting this test at a schedule that makes you feel comfortable based upon what the doctors also suggests.
The bottom line is that the test itself is relatively inexpensive and you can go in and have the blood drawn and psa test taken anytime and pay for it yourself if insurance is a problem at your age.
Or when you see a doctor for something else you could also request it and IF necessary pay for it yourself separately.
Peace of mind may be a relatively small cost on an annual basis. Check out the cost and how to get it done yourself with your doctor should he not recommend it as often or should your insurance not pay for it at your age.
Best Regards,

I just have one comment. Sometimes hospitals or clinics in your area may have a FREE program of psa testing, check it out also.

We need to communicate. I like your brevity and you seem to know an awful lot. If, you like send me an email so I can capture yours. [email protected]
