Is there anyone out there who has had a whipple operation to remove an islet cell tumor of the pancreas?

  • i thought that a whipple was performed on tumors on the tail of the pancreas-- i had a distal pancreatonomy, 80% of my pancreas and all of spleen were removed. still having nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea 8 months after surgery. to find my story-in the search area type islet cell carcinoma, and look for johnlh2. sorry i haven't been much help-but if you want to talk my email is under johnlh2. i'll be praying for you
