Hey there everybody -

I'm off to a two week school before I head down to my new ship so I'll probably be incommunicado for a spell. Just know that I am keeping all of you in prayers and I'll miss our daily chats!

I'll send you post cards from the road as I'm able to.

    May you have the best of times starting with this, a new beginning. No matter what they tell you at school, remember that front of the ship is the sharp end. If anybody says "hello sailor" - run. Or maybe, don't run. I think I'll have a leetle Powers to speed you on your way. We will all miss you.

    Hey Sponge, if you are set adrift in the ocean don't drink that sea water no matter how dehydrated you get. It will only make you thirstier. Bring some pinapple juice.

    We'll miss you - but this is a real 'survivor' story, life goes on, hope all goes well.

    If the tables are on the ceiling - either get out quick or cut out the rum.

    SB, I'll miss you a lot. Who am I gonna rely on to make me laugh? Who's Bert gonna rely on the rib him about not typing? Be safe, take care, and my prayers go with you. Write & post when you can..."we'll leave a light on for you" and "throw another shrimp on the barbie" when you get back :-)

    I hope you haven't left yet and I'm too late in the send-off party. i got lost in traffic......

    Chances are you're the class clown and you'll be back here in no time.....sent to the principal's office no doubt. That or you'll be standing in the corner for hours on end...I can just picture it.

    On the other hand maybe you're the teacher's pet type and she'll have you clapping erasers and emptying the pencil sharpeners. (brown noser)

    Regardless....we will ALL miss you oodles and count the days until you're back in the pack.
