Thank you for being a part of the Cancer Survivor Network community. Survivors and caregivers like you have played a unique role in fostering an online environment that encourages connection among those needing support, community, and education. We just found out that the past 12months of treatment (chemo plus combined chemo and radiotherapy for my husbands tumour was ineffective and that no further treatment is possible. He has squamous cell carcinoma of his parotid (salivary gland); Which is apparently rare.
BUT - am posting this message because in my search on the internet I came across a therapy called PDT (photodynamic therapy) which appears to yield amazing results. Here are the links. Has anyone here heard of it or tried it? any info on personal experiences - or info from doctors on this - gratefully received
thanks,
Sara
