I'm back from the dr in Tampa. He said to me "see you 6 months."
We are elated and somewhere in the back of my mind, I kind of felt that would be the case. Nonetheless, we had a couple of weeks of pins and needles, waiting for yesterday's appointment. Dr. said the calcifications had been there all along, even before the breast cancer was diagnosed. So I will take the advice of the Dr from Moffitt and see him in August. I have an appointment with the radiology oncologist in Feb, just a followup.
By the way, I complained of having terrible cramps in my back and the dr said that the tenderness and cramping was from the radiation -- that the nerve that is connected to the ribs is compromised and that exertion would make it flare up. Yikes, I put 2 & 2 together and no wonder I was in mortal pain Wednesday night -- I bowled earlier that day. Dr said take some Advil before bowling, after bowling and use heat to lessen the pain. I asked would it go away and he made a doctor face and shrugged, meaning no. So one more thing to carry around, but at least I know what it is, that I am not falling apart, or the cancer has come back or . . . or . . . or . . .
We had a glorious weekend!! Looking forward to 25 more loving years!!
