I am also a new comer and glad to be a part of the semicolons. I replied to another subject, so some of you may have heard this before. I was diagnosed in 6/03 with stage IV. I'm 39 and had no symptoms. To make a long story short.... I had a hysterectomy and the doctor found the tumor on my colon. I started treatment in Aug. I have one treatment left. I am also on the Oxcilaplatin regimen. The worst for me was the nausea. I took everything under the sun! It's been very cold here in NJ too, but I've been dealing with it pretty well. No smoothies for us! I work for a school system and have been very fortunate. I'm able to work every other week around my treatments. I will also be having a CT and PET scan a month after I'm done. My original tests showed nothing, so my treatment was just precautionary. But I still worry. Well enough for now. I look forward to talking to all of you again.
Please excuse any typos, it's kind of hard typing with gloves on.

No doubt you will help someone else out, Michelle - and you should bring your partner along, too! A lot of folks here aren't the survivors, they're the partners of survivors. (and a couple of them are the designated typists for technophobic husbands who refuse to learn how to type - right Monika?)

Hey SB...you hit the nail right on the head!!! He's still pecking his way through the internet and is nosy as all hell...I'm trying, SB, I'm trying? Monika :-)
