groin swelling

anyone ever had groin area swell up or get infected? mom has bc w mets to brain and liver. last summer had mass develop n groin. dr said it was nfection caused from tattoo. few months later we fouund she had brain mets. a few weeks ago we found liver mets. shes on gemzar and navelbine. today she said that she thinks she feels anther pain in the other leg in the groin area. im trying not to freak out here.

    The swelling in the groin is probably lympth nodes. They swell when they are effected by infrection or other systemic threat to the body. This should be checked out by her doctor. Also chemo can make the lymph system act different. Good Luck Beth
