I am a 47 woman lung cancer survior of 3 years. I had this done, They cut me at the base of my neck and scoped the Lymph nodes of my chest walls. I went home the same day. Very little discomfort. Fortunely only my right lymph nodes were affected. When the removed the bottom 3rd of my right lung they removed several of the nodes. If it is the same it really sounds scarrier than it was.
