Tonsil Cancer recovery

Just interested in what I may be looking at over the next few months. I had Surgery on Sept 19, 2003 of my stage 4 tonsil cancer. I just completed 33 radiation treatments last week. The operation consisted of moving my left peck muscle from my chest to my throat area. I am in the process of trying to strenghten my left arm. All in all everything is going well. I feel pretty good and actually have worked about 20 hours a week through my radiation. I am just this week getting back full time pretty much. We have a small construction company so I was really missed by my partners, but they have been real supportive. My biggest problem I have now is my speach. because of the swelling and radiation sores in my mouth I am sometimes difficult to understand which makes it difficult when I am on the phone. Does the speach get better?
I do thank the good Lord for my recovery to this point.

You will look fine. This is my second operation since last June. It has been hard but I am doing fine. The hole in my mouth is taking a long time to heal because of the radiation treatments, that they had given me after the first surgery. Please let me know how you are doing. Janine1956

Janinemary, oh my-2nd operation-one was enough for me. thanks for the encouragement. I am actually doing great. I have started speach theropy and I am making some progress. Physically I am lifting weights 3 times a week and am getting my muscle tone back in my left arm- back to work 100%-life is good- Let me know how you are doing.
