I've had my barium cocktail

I had my CT scan last Monday. I had to drink about 30 ounces of barium (vanilla flavor). I took advice and drank it through a straw and it was very cold. The first bottle was OK, but the second bottle was a little hard to go down. It's a good thing I didn't have to leave home for almost 2 hours after having my "cocktail". It worked on me like the colonoscopy prep. Several emergency "runs" to the potty. I didn't start feeling normal until later in the day. I did go to work though and had no real problems. I see my oncologist on Weds. to get the results. So far I am beginning to feel "normal" again. Best of luck to you all and I'll continue to seek advice from all you experts. Regards, Arlene
