my sister just completed a stem cell transplant for metastatic breast cancer to her liver. She will now start on interferon 3x a week. Anyone have any info on side effects?

    My brother inlaw has had such treatment for liver disease he has. The side affects can be very much like chemo from what I understand and the only problems he has had it seems is from the drinking that he still puts his body through. There are some side affects but they say tolerable. My thoughts are with her through this time. She is lucky to have such a caring sister, will make all the difference in the world.

    Hi! I knew someone who took interferon for another illness and she complained of flu like symptoms but nothing more than that. Hope this helps. Cathy
