My brother inlaw has had such treatment for liver disease he has. The side affects can be very much like chemo from what I understand and the only problems he has had it seems is from the drinking that he still puts his body through. There are some side affects but they say tolerable. My thoughts are with her through this time. She is lucky to have such a caring sister, will make all the difference in the world.
