I had my first year mammogram on Wed was told everything was fine. Went to FL for a quick four day vacation and came home to a message saying to call the breast center. I'm told I still have the cyst in my breast that I have had since surgery and they want to do another ultrasound tomorrow. this is the second of those. Due to insurance I've had to leave Vanderbilt where I was told this is not that unusal and to leave it alone. I'm very worried about tomorrow. How often does this cyst business happen after a lumpectomy? How often is it cancer returning? When does this fear ever leave a person alone. Sends some prayers my way as that is the one thing we can do. Linda

I'm sorry I can't answer your question about cysts after mamograms but I can put in a prayer for you. I have a biopsy tomorrow and I'm scared too. I think knowing that others are praying for us and that we aren't alone in being afraid is helpful. Let us know how it turns out. Sandis

Best wishes for good results to both you ladies!

I will be thinking of you and sending good thoughts your way, along with warm hugs. "Afraid" is something all of us here understand. Sometimes, one just has to let go and travel with the flow of fear, anger or whatever the emotion may be. You're in good company and never, ever need to feel alone.

    Please keep us posted.

    Love, light and laughter,

Fear does leave when prayer takes its place. Prayer and the knowledge (my personal belief) that when it's my time to go, I will go. I'll try to have fun everyday until then.

Hi, Linda. I'm always having cysts and needing ultrasounds. I don't think I ever get away with a year when I don't have them. I can certainly attest to the fact that you can have cysts and it doesn't mean bc has returned. Even so, familiarity does not make for any less nervousness. Hoping your news is good. Ellen
