I found this on the internet and wanted to share it with everyone.

Cancer is so limited...

It cannot cripple love
It cannot shatter hope
It cannot corrode faith
It cannot destroy peace
It cannot kill friendship
It cannot suppress memories
It cannot silence courage
It cannot invade the soul
It cannot steal eternal life
It cannot conquer the spirit.

I'm sure that the author meant for the piece to be inspiring, but cancer can do all of those things.

I have to agree with the author, cancer itself, is so limited.
It can only do as much as you allow it to do.
No matter what trial we face in life we make the choice to be...
    mad/angry/crushed/alone/defeated
    or we can
    rejoice/laugh/exceed/unite/conquer.
It is all about free will and the choices we make.
Thank you for thinking of us and sharing this chemoqueen.

That's a very inspirational piece and thanks for sharing it here. I think the author intended, but did not state, "it's up to us". Cancer cannot do any of those things, UNLESS we allow it. It's not so simple though, in practice. As we all know well, it requires a determined, diligent effort.

May we all have the determination to make our best efforts. To find our best selves. To live our best lives, to love and have joy in every day.
And may we have the wisdom to appreciate the amazing journey life really is, warts and all. Whether our journey is short or long, whether the bumps are few or many, our substance is what defines us. Our substance is something which can right us when we're tumbling and help us to find courage on our darkest days or a smile though our pains.

May we find ways of giving which are real and true, helpful and kind. It occurs to me that if we can do these things, our lives will be richer and warmer, as we share life's journey.

    Love, light and laughter,

The responses of other people in our lives to life threatening illness is not within the realm of our control.
