I was lucky. Early detection. Right now,I have ten staples under my lymph nodes, and ten stitches across my breast. But early detection has probably saved my life. I am stunned that I could have breast cancer, but here I am.

Yes, dachfan, I too found out early and was SHOCKED to find I had bc. No history and pretty mammograms since 1992! I am so glad I have them done because if I had 2 lumps grow in 1 year- amazing to think what would have been there if I'd been too busy to get one this year- I will catch up next year!
