Hi everybody. I've been offline for a little while. I had my last Adria/Cytoxan and now it is on to Taxol or Taxotere for another 4 rounds. I'm really nervous about this new med because A/C was a roller coaster ride for me. My oncologist is putting in a consult with a plastic surgeon for November for reconstruction. He says it is a long drawn out process. Well, just wanted to keep you updated.

Taxol was a 'cake walk' for me compared to the 'red devil' aka adriamycin. Hope it is the same for you. Keep us updated. ((((HUGS)))) hummingbyrdDeeNY711 said:Angel, I found the taxotere end of chemotherapy to be easier in many ways than the Adriamycin/ Cytoxan cycles. Hope this helps. Love, Denise

Hi Angel,
I too found Taxol much much easier than "the red devil". I had some muscle pain for about 4-5 days after my treatment but that was much easier to deal with then the nausea. Hope it goes well for you...Cheryl0 -
Thanks for the update! You're coming to the end of this ordeal. I wish you wellness.
As for the plastic surgeon, choose carefully. Also ask to see pictures of the procedures so you know what you are getting into. Some procedures (Abdominal Tram Flap for instance) are really big procedures lasting more than 8 hours in surgury. All the best! Beth0
