CT Scan for Partoid - What does this mean

My CT scan shows that I have a tumor in the Partoid and also indicates "non-specific midly enlarged lymph notes bilaterally, right greater than left" - does anyone know what this means?

    Hi Bezansoc,

    Enlarged lymph nodes can mean infection but when there's a tumor with it-it doesn't sound good. You need to find out whether it benign or not and go from there. When will you be getting the definite answer? If you need anything please email.

    My partner completed surgery/radiation and chemo for partoid cancer this past Feb. Usually a needle biopsy is done to determine malignancy. If your tumor is malignant, make sure you have an oncologist as part of your medical team. My partner's first surgery was done by an ENT who did inadequate surgery.

    MY husband went thru head and neck cancer last summer at MD Anderson and with 40 radiation treatments got rid of the tumor. All I can say is act on it immediately especially if a lymph node is involved because if cancerous it can spread thru out your blood stream and you do not want that. In Feb. 2003 his cancer mestastasized to his lungs and left elbow. Got rid of the bone cancer but fighting for his life with the lung cancer. He is currently on chemo. Act fast and get things done with an onocolgists. And get second opinions. And definitly have a pet scan and as many scans and mri as you can. Especially the brain and lungs. Love and prayers, Candy
