Stomach Cancer

My mom was just diagnosed with stomach cancer, the doctors tried to remove the tumor but they couldn't because it was too big and the cancer is advanced, however they put a tube so she can eat. Although she seems fine and she is eating now, the doctors told me she only has a couple of months to live. The oncologist wants to try radiation. Please if anyone out there is in the same situation reply to me, I'm looking for any type of help I still have hope for my mom.

    my mom has stomach cancer she is atage 3 maybe 4 doc say, she went chemo 1st what stage and how advanced was your moms

    THEY JUST TOLD ME ADVANCED, THEY NEVER MENTIONED STAGES. CAN ANYBODY HELP HER?

    Get a second opinion from a major cancer center. Some oncologists are more aggressive than others. Find a doc who will fight with you. I had stage III stomach ca - in remission now. Had surgery, then chemo, then chemo and radiation. Mine was operable - but don't limit your options too soon. check out the www.eccafe it is an esophageal ca site but lots there who were told to pack it in and are still kickin - many similarities to stomach ca.

    Hi,

    The same situation is happened with my grandfather as he was suffered with throat cancer and he was feed by the tubes, but I will suggest you one thing that please dont go for any radiations as, rightnow your mom is fine and still somewhere little active and if once radiations will start, she will become more and more pale and she cannot tolerate sch radiations.


    So, just pray to god for not to let her go with more pain and you and other relatives of yours just try to be happy and create a healthy and happy enviornment around her.
