Was wondering if anyone knows if tamoxifen can cause tumors to grow.It was responsible for a tumor to grow in my urtrus so I had to have a hysterectomy so is it possible that it could trigger others to develop in other parts of the body?

I know it increases the risk of uterine cancer, but I don't think it's supposed to cause tumors elsewhere. Diane

The truth is that any therapy we take for cancer has a risk/ benefit ratio. The literature seems to make it pretty clear that tamoxifen in the treatment of breast cancer can literally save your life. Please oh please talk to your Doctor. He or she should know your fears! The best of luck to you.
