I would recommed a visit with an ostomy nurse. I have an ileostomy. The hospital had an ostomy nurse come to make certain everything was going OK right afterward surgery, but I only started having problems a month or so later. A visit to an ostomy nurse quickly solved my problems. Ileostomy secretions are more irritating to the skin and my wafer was not snug enough. But there are other reasons. Apparently some people get reactions to the adhesive, etc. An ostomy nurse is trained to help.
