Recurrance

Sad today...my sister's mother has had a recurrance of a stage 0 cancer. Found a lump in her underarm and surgery confirmed a malignancy. She visits the onc on Friday. Probably will have chemo and radiation. I will be with her to help her through this. My bone scan is Monday the 17th. Still have the pain. Had x-ray and mammo. No results yet. Blood tests galore also. Onc wants to rule out mets. Me, too. It's nice to close my eyes and rest in the hands of God and feel His arms around me. I thank Him for all of you on this site. You are a great strength for me.

Hi Jayne,
I'm sorry to hear about your sister's mother's recurrence. I hope the best for her.
Hopefully, your bone scan will be clear. I have alot of pains and recently had a bone scan which came back clear! I hope you get the same results.
Your sister's mother is very fortunate to have you by her side. I'm sure you will be a big help to each other.
You both take care,

Hi Jayne,
I just wanted to let you know you are still in my thoughts and prayers. I will be praying for you next Monday that all the tests come out positive and they will be able to help you with the pain. I know you have been suffering for a long time. I will also pray for your sister's mother.
I see the oncologist on the 20th. I have been taking my Femara and have no serious side effects. The hot flashes are a little more intense, but not something I can't handle. Will see where she wants to go from here, but I am very confident of the outcome. Just let your sister's mother know about us here on the site. They are quite a few of us Stage IV patients doing quite well. God is good to us and He is no respector of persons.
I tried to e-mail you on the site, but I still have trouble with this new format. Sometimes it just doesn't work for me.
God Bless,

Hey Jayne,
As everyone said, your sisters mother is very lucky to have you with her at this time. I will add her along with you in my prayers.... It is hard to be the strong one, and especially when you are not well yourself. I am going to pray and hope that everything is clear as far as all the bloodwork and scans... I still have pain from my surgery & reconsruction.... I also have other forms of this disease, but when I went to have scans & bloodwork for the same thing you are going through the Drs found nothing. So tonight I am putting you and your sisters mother at the top of my prayer list...which grows and grows... I'm not complaining at all, because I love the Lord and know that He works so many miracles... I am one. So try to be at peace as much as you can be at this time. I really loved what you said about the Lord, because I feel the same way myself. Nothing compares to His Love which is better than anything else in our life.
Be Blessed
Cathy
