As for me the Xeloda is still working & tumour markers continue to drop. I am on 5th cycle now so thank God for that miracle & long may it last.
Hapy New Year from a very wet but warm New Zealand today.
Love & hugs

All of the ladys and their families are in my prayers daily and I have said and will keep saying special ones for Kathy and you.
I am on tamoxifen and wonder if it will help, have only been on it a few months. Do you know how long Kathy was on it?I sure wish her the best of luck and the LORDS comfort.
I am also glad to know you are doing better.

I had just finished my 4th year on Tamoxifen in November. It had been working beautifully for me. No side effects, etc, but somehow that rasically cancer circumvented it and started feeding on my estrogen again. Since I am Stage IV, they keep a close eye on me. To tell the truth I was getting tired of having to see the oncologist every 4 months, but now I'm glad she wouldn't listen to me and let me go longer without being seen. My oncologist has one patient who has been on tamoxifen since it was first available (at least 20 years) and is doing great. She was Stage IV also, but has had no recurrence since. Just depends on the person. I pray for you and your husband daily. Please keep us all posted. What card games does Larry play online? I ask because my husband plays pinnocle and hearts online. Maybe they have played together.
Keep the faith and God will honor you.
God Bless,

Hi Pam,
Thank you so much for thinking of me and posting my latest "hurdle" on the web site. You have become such a good friend to me as have so many of the ladies. It is a real pleasure to get to know each of you and have interactions all the time. I can say this site has been a real blessing to me and I hope that I can be a blessing to others.
I get my first injection this week - in the stomach. Doesn't sound pleasant to me, but beats the alternatives. My gynegologist is to call me back this afternoon (he has been in surgery all day) and we will start the process of setting up my operation to remove my ovaries.
It is raining here now in Virginia. It had started out as nice big snow flakes, but has switched over to all rain. A good day to stay inside and relax.
Again, thank you for all your support and prayers. It means so much to me.
God Bless,

What great news to hear of your update. I am so glad for you Pam, you have had a real fight on your hands and been an inspiration to us all. I am sorry to hear of Kathy's reoccurance. After my almost 6 years since diagnosis I have heard so many stories now of women who keep fighting cancer time after time and are still around to share them with others. There is so much out there and going on all the time that one has to have faith in finding something to help them along the way.
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year and look forward to seeing more of you around here.
Take good care,

Hi Kathy, I thought they only kept a person on tamox, for 5 yrs max. My Dr. said I had only a 20%chance it would work for me, my estrogen/progest. is a 1+-low, he said it would be better if it was 3+, but I'm taking it anyway. Had headaches for awhile but not now.I was stage 3 and my tests all came back ok so far.praise the LORD!!!ktinkey said:Hi Flo,
