Hi everyone and happy new year, I go in for my three month testing friday and I am getting an mri because I have been getting the worst headaches for the last three weeks that nothing seems to help. The doctor said that the mri is the only way to know if the cancer has mestisized to the brain , so I am holding my breath and praying it is just my nerves. Mike

A happy new year to you, Mike, and everyone struggling with this condition. I hope that Friday's test will be comforting news for you. I go for a ct scan tomorrow, so I guess we will be starting out this new year knowing the current status. Hopes and prayers to you and all. Margaret in Carlsbad, California.

Happy New Year to you too, I hope everything goes well for you on Friday. I'v been clean since 1991 and everytine I go for a check up, when I hear them rattling the x-rays outside the door I get scared all over again. So your fears are valid, I will keep you in my prayers.

Hi Margaret, I hope that your test comes back clean with all good information. I am like a cat on a hot tin roof, I am a bag of nerves and can,t rest for one second in antisipation of the results of these damned tests! I hope that they also come back clean. No one knows what we all have to endure with this cursed disease. Mike

    Mike,
Happy New Year to you also! Good Luck on your tests! I will pray for you that your tests come back clean. My Dad has non-small cell and you replied to my msg about his problems with radiation treatment. Every test Dad takes, we are so scared and hold our breath. I can't believe what this disease does to the person going through it and to all the family members who love them so much. It's a nightmare! I hope so much that you get only good news! Take care--Donna

Hi Mike, Happy New Year and a lot of blessings for you. My father has non-small cell cancer and he begins chemo this week, we are so scared, he almost can't breath. My mother finished chemo for breast cancer in december and now this, but we pray everyday for him and you will be in my prayers too, everything will be fine...

HI everyone, I'd like to thank everyone for their support and prayers in my tests. It makes a person feel good that there are others out there with the same problems fighting for each other and praying that we all come through our journey whole people. If I could do anything for anyone just ask; we are all a family in this battle. Mike

Hi Mike, I am new to this board, just wanted you to know that I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Please try to remember that if you do have mets to the brain, there is alot out there that can be done. My dad goes for gamma knife on Thursday, if you've never heard of this, let me know and I'll give you the websites to look up. I know that one of the worst parts of this whole thing with my dad has been the NOT KNOWING and having to wait part. I will keep you in my prayers. Keep us posted. Take care, Deb
