Sorry about the 'botched up job' Pam, its bad enough to go thru the pain and suffering, but then to have poor results...What state do you live in? Did you take pictures of your progress as you had each surgery? Was it always the same surgeon or are you at a large facility/institution? Was this private pay (ins) or part of a trial?
My suggestion is get copies of all your records. Hopefully, you have or can get pictures of the before and after each surgery, then you can file a complaint w/ the AMA. Which I think you can even do online.
Depending on how large a city you live in there may be a company that offers info about local docs. Specialty, where they graduated, how long they've been in practice, if they have ever been sued, testimonials from other patients, etc,....
This is the best I have to offer, hope it helps.

Thanks sooo much for your reply. It's quite nice to know someone out there cares. The surgery was done in Tampa,Florida at the H.Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and everything has been done with the same surgeon. I do have a couple of pictures that show before and on six weeks after surgery. That one shows real well what I was left with. Everything was paid by TriCare, military insurance. This is what i have done so far: i contacted the insurance company, and have seen an attorney who feels i have a case, and I have faxed a request to this really large hospital to get my records for the attorney. I notified the Florida Department of Health and have paperwork ready to go back to them. I filed with AMC society also. I like your suggestion about the AMA. I also am going to contact radio stations this next week. I have gotten two other opinions and one surgeon stated that he can repair what has been done. it's just so discouraging that i have to have more surgery when i have already had at least four. I also have an oppointment with the surgeon that did this in January. Wait till i get to that appointment. I will have with me the proposal from the second surgeon to compare whatever the first one says. I am off to help Lisa, did you see her sad story. I am going to tell her about Dr. Berger here in Tampa. By the way my surgeon's name is Dr. Alan Shons at Lee Moffitt for anyone who needs to know.
Thank, Pam0
