Hi hummingbyrd
I am on Xeloda. I have been on Adriamycin (twice) & Taxotere plus heaps of radiation & all the hormone drugs & I have gotton the best response ever from Xeloda. My markers were up to 475 & are now down to 175 after only 3 cycles & I am feeling better than I have for a long time. The side effects have been minimal with me. The worst is diarrohea but a small reduction in dose seems to have settled that. My skin gets very dry & my palms itch a little but that is the closest I have come to hand & foot syndrome which is the main reason others have to come off it. Hope it works as well for you. The good news is that as long as it is working there is no limit to the number of doses you can be given unlike some of the other drugs like Adriamycin.
Love & hugs

Hello hummingbyrd
I am also in my 3rd cycle of xeloda. I had sugery for colon cancer and 19 inches of colon removed. So far the side effects are dry palms and feet. Not bad enough to reduce dossage. Doctor tells me 4 months will do it for me. I have 8 weeks to go.
