Another Live Chat Option...
For anyone interested in live chat alternatives:
AIM (AOL Instant Messaging) is another great option for live chat. It's free and very simple to use. There are chat room options or private chat. Just go to: www.aol.com and you'll see the link on the page for signing up. Just create a screen name and you'll be set to go. If the screen name you'd like to use is alreay taken, you can try different combinations and/or the system will create one for you to approve. (example: say I want to use the name Inkblot but it's not available, then I can try InKbLoT, or any combination. You may also add numbers to the name, etc.)

Ink does AOL pop up and announce when someone signs on like MSN does?
The people at CSN were great this morning, they took notes and hopefully will change site soon to be more user friendly.
Like announcing when someone enters chat room!
The important thing to me is that we stay consistant, let's not scatter to different sites, cause I know I'd really miss a lot of you!
Also we found out that you DO NOT have to use mouse to click in message in chat!
It's really cool/kewl...
type in message - hit tab key - hit enter - hit tab key
this takes message to chat room and returns you to message box w/o moving the mouse!
You may all already know that, but it was NEW to me!
God bless and whatever we do, let's stay together. I vote give CSN (fishpie, tony, greta and neals) a chance to fix things.
We have a chat scheduled w/ them again Thurs 12/12/02 at 10:00 am CST. Let me know if this is a bad time. hummb0 -

Thanks for the updates re the discussion yesterday a.m. As you know, I had to leave. Left the page up for reading later. Must have timed out though. I got home about 3 hours later and it was no longer there. Anyway, I'm sure they'll work out whatever bugs they can and also try to make additional adjustments to suit the majority. I would imagine that a few weeks is all it should take. Depending upon their schedules and staff availability, etc..
Re your AOL question...Yes. You may set up your account any way you like with various sounds, etc. for different functions. When anyone on your buddy list signs on, you'll get an alert and also whatever sound you've chosen. Too, whenever you sign on, you can tell by a glance at your buddy list, who's on and who isn't. When anyone sends you an IM, you are given the option of accepting it or not and you may also leave an "away message" up, for convenience and people can still IM you and you can read them whenever you get back to the screen. You may also "block" particular messages, etc.. If you have Broadband or DSL, it'll even be there the next day if that's what you prefer. It has many neat options that some chats don't have. My son was using it about a year ago but I didn't know much about it. A friend from here (she helped me get a handle on it) and myself began using it almost daily. We'd just set an "about" time to chat and it was so convenient.
I wish you the VERY best with your upcoming tests. It's a pain, I know...just getting through such a barrage is nerve wrecking but we sort of get accustomed to it all after a fashion and do what we must. Keep in mind that tumor markers are not 100% reliable as indicators. They can be influenced by many things. Wondering if it's possible that all your medication changes, etc. have contributed at all?
My doctor's are quite frank about markers being a relatively new tool and that everyone is just learning how to use them and decipher what they mean. Thus, when they continue to rise, they can only do tests to try and find any reason for it. Often, they can find no reason. Keep the faith!
