prophylatic oophorectomy

Wednesday I am having my ovaries removed. I had my uterus removed 12 years ago. I am post-menopausal and am a one year breast cancer survivor. The ovary removal is a precautionary measure. I am having a laproscopy (SP?). If there is too much scar tissue from the hystorectomy, he will do a "bikini cut". My research shows he can also do a vertical cut from the belly-button down. The article said it gives the Dr a better view. I will be talking with him about this tomorrow afternoon. I was wondering if anyone can advise me about the two options. Less painful, shortest healing time, etc...
Thanks, Mary
