Hi folks,
Just a note of hope and encouragement. My BC diagnosis was on Friday the 13th of September, 1991. Thankfully, the eleven years since have pretty darn healthy ones for me. My healthcare providers, family, and friends have supported me every step of the way. I've become involved with cancer advocacy, support groups, educational programs and have met some of my now-best friends at cancer-related activities. I have during these years also lost close friends and family members to the disease. I just found this support group when talking to a friend at ACS ... and I'm happy that I did.

Hi Karen -- I just stopped back to this site and read your question. Mine was a very early stage BC found on a mammogram. I had a lumpectomy with 3 months of chemo, 5 weeks of radiation, and then another 3 months of chemo (CMF). Oh, I had an axillary dissection too and the pathology showed that there was no lymph node imvolvement. Take care, Pattykenny said:Patty,
I read your email. What stage of BC were you?
