Dilation

I had a barium swallow test a couple weeks ago. The test indicated a small constriction halfway down my esophagus. The swallow therapist recommended my esophagus be dilated to correct this constriction which she says was most likely caused by radiation therapy.

Has anyone experienced this procedure?

Jeff, I noticed that you had the barium swallow test or should say you were to have it done back in August. My husband just had the barium shallow done and is to have the dilation. Have you had it done and is it working. How was the procedure? Have you had to have it more than once? And are you now able to eat? Please reply, candy
