Help Me Find A New Procedure

Hi,
I am a caregiver. I am searching or a new procedure for someone who is recovering from throat cancer and is left unable to swallow water and food. It's been 1 1/2 years now she is beeing fed on a tube. Can anyone help and give me some info on any new breakthrus? Thanks,
