Anyone else out there with this??? Mine was found in a lymph node in the neck with an unknown primary. I am 26 and will be starting treatment soon (radiation followed by chemo). It would be nice to hear that I'm not the only person out there with this... :)

    Heather,
I just ran across your message. I am a 2 time cancer survivor.(prostate&Merkel Cell)I have been in remission for 31/2 years from stage 2 merkel cell carcinoma. There aren't many of us out there with merkel cell.Mine was a tumor on my left buttock, an unusual place to find it.Hang in there. I hope that by now you are in remission and doing great as I am. I just left my oncologist today. I am on a 6 month checkup schedule and a one year ct scan schedule.
    Good luck and good health,
    Marshall

    Hi,
My name is Luther. It has been a long time since I have come to this network. I had merkel cell and on Oct. 8 I will celebrate my eighth year in remission. My granddaughter, Meg, is helping me in communicating with all of you. To communicate with me my granddaughter's e-mail is prissygurl10@aol.com. I want you all to know that no matter how bad you feel, physically or emotionally, God will always be there. I had no hope until God put his healing hand on my shoulder and gave me a wife, Peggy, and a family that supprted me through all of this.

I hope to communicate with you soon,
    Luther
