Hi, my name is Danielle Szabo and I was diagnosed with ALL last year. I recently have been looking for scholarships for Leukemia survivors also and so here are the websites that I checked out. I hope they help you! Another thing I would try is to just search the web by using keywords such as AML, Leukemia, Leukemia Scholarships, or even cancer scholarships. Good luck on your search!

i'm going through the same thing! I do not have cancer, but my mother did. I'm 17 years of age, and she passed 4 years ago on friday, Feb. 13. No one will help pay for college! I have no money, i work at a grocery store, and my father is incarcerated. The government says that i have to be an orphane to recive help! other cancer sites are only for students that have cancer that are going to college! Please give me as many phone numbers and websites. Thank you!unknown said:This comment has been removed by the Moderator

Just another bit, www.pinkrose.org/scholarships has scholarships specifically for your situation. If you come across any for hodgekins survivors returning to college let me know. Also you can have yourself officially emanicipated from your father via your college's financial aid office, once you've been accepted they will have resources. Also try to speak with a social worker amount the emancipation process, as it is specifically a financial emancipation and a school will explain the process.simpson04 said:i'm going through the same thing! My name is Brigid and I live in Buffalo, Ny. I am a childhood cancer survivor and want to go to college for Occupational Therapy. Every scholarhship I find, I am not eligible for. Most of the scholarships are for specific states and I have not found one yet for Ny. If anyone has any information, it is greatly appreciated.mcaflo817 said:In many states, the American Cancer Society awards $1000 scholarships to childhood cancer survivors.
