my surgeon wanted to do another big second surgery, but my oncologist insisted that it be done laproscopicaly and have a port put on my hip at the same time. the port was put in so that I could have the next round of chemo put directly into my stomach. after the surgery I was able to go home after spending a few hours in recovery. that was 3 years ago and so far,so good.
