Hello, just wanted to ask if there is anyone that has suffered from elbow and arm pain since mascetomy? Its been almost a year since surgery and my arm is feeling worse, actually keeping me up at nights, along with the hot flashes !!! wheeewwww!! they are wicked !! I seem to get like a achey feeling and my elbow will get a sharp stabbing pain in it and then it will radiate up to my hand. Don't know if there is anything to help with this. I also am dealing with those sharp pains where I have had reconstruction started,,I actually had my last fill, only had to have two. This is one time in my life that I'm glad to have been small built !!lol.lol..lol..Now I will wait six months to have pemanant implants put in. Yipeeee !! One more question,,how do you overcome the stress of going for the first mammogram since diagnose...I go on June 5th, a day after I was diagnosed and I'm already stressing !!! I can't imagine sitting there waiting for the nurse to come in and say its ok!!! Last time it didn't happen like that,,it was 2 1/2 hours later and about six times back into the room ...Thanks for listening and any advice..God Bless all of you !! karin

Karin if your pain continues for sometime like going into a month and it radiates you should be bugging your doctor it could be a few things or it could be nothing. One must get doctors to address issues and concerns we have.
As far as the stress of tests or just things that we feel we just have to have faith in our bodies and our abilities to know when something isn't right. We can try to do things that help our falshes and our aches and pains but don't just let them go tell your doctor about them.
Be good to yourself,

Hi Karin...I can't help with the mastectomy pain, as I had a lumpectomy. But, if I stretch too much, I still get lots of arm pain.
The onc said it's from stretching. Anyway, I would like to address the pre-mammo panic. I just had my 1st mammo May 1st, and I was a wreck. I don't know how you get past that. I tried to have faith that my blood work, mainly tumor markers stayed good, so it should mean I was ok. It turns out I was ok, but it was scary. I bawled like a baby when they called the next morning to tell me everything was fine! I don't know if it helps you at all to know others have been there, and feel your fear, and we are certainly thinking about you and praying for you. Please let us know how it comes out! God bless, Cyndi0 -
I just finished my last radiation today. I just can't imagine what will happen next. As far as the hot flashes go my doctor gave me Celexa. It has been a wonder. Good luck at the doctor on the 5th.
I was wondering where to get a falsey for a swim suit I already have. I can't aford one of those $450. jobs.0
