Living with breast cancer

Hi, I just signed on and am new to this. I'm scared and feel alone but I see there are alot of women like me here. Don't have many friends and those I do have say I have to snap out of it and don't want to hear me talk about cancer or anything related to my breast cancer. I'm happy to know that I'm not alone and hope to have found a friend with this site. Thanks and God bless you all!

    I am new to the site also and have found it to be so helpful. So many wonderful people are here to help and answer questions or just here to lend a ear. I know it is scary but no, you are not alone. God Bless you and if you ever need someone to talk to I am here along with everyone else at this site. Take care, Angel

    You are not alone...there are hundreds of thousands of us out here who know how you feel. Do you have access to a support group in your area?

    welcome, you are no longer alone. we are all here to share our journey's with one another. everyone on this site can relate to your fears,pain, and doubt. hang in there and know that it does get better.

    Hi, dear Angel, welcome! You are among so many friends, you will see. You can ask any question, even silly ones, and someone will help you. You can tell us you are sad, mad, etc., etc., and we all have been there. Believe me, no one can "snap out of" breast cancer.     Hi, Marytes, welcome, you are among friends. NOt only that, we are funny friends. We will laugh with you or cry. There is NO question you can ask that one of us has not had to deal with. Please e-mail often and you will find a friendly ear. No one can "snap out" of breast cancer. But with time, it does get a whole lot better. God bless you and keep you safe in His arms.     Hi, Angel, you seem to really be an angel to me. Thanks so much. I'm a little depressed lately so it's wonderful to have friends who understand what I'm going through and that I'm not alone. Take care, and I'll talk to you soon. Marie

    Thank you so very much. I can't believe there are so many women with breast cancer. It's only been 2 years and finally I have found a web site that helps us. I feel this site is much more helpful than anything else I've tried doing. I lost some friends after I told them I had breast cancer. I guess they thought they could get it from me.     Hi, and thank you for being there. I don't have a support group near by. I live in Italy even though I'm American from NJ. I live in a small village and we have only one car so it's hard for me to get around. I'm happy to have this site as a support group. Thanks again. hope to talk to you again soon. Marie

I know what you mean about being scared, I am almost to my one year mark, and I still have days when I am so scared sometimes, its a tough thing to go through.     Hi, karin, thanks for writing to me. It means alot to me to know I can count on someone. You're right, it's hard to talk to those who don't know what we're going through. Every ache and pain scares me and I think "it's back!" This isn't a way to live what ever amount of life we have left. God bless you too. Marie

    welcome!!! i'm sort of new to this site also and one thing i can tell you is that there are a lot of ears here. there is always someone ready to talk or just listen. no question is too silly to ask. but i am sorry to tell you that you have not found a friend here.....you have found SEVERAL!!!!!! you're in my heart vicki

    Hello and welcome! You have found many friends at this site. You do NOT have to snap out of it, and you do NOT have to stop talking about it. These "friends" need to realize that it could just as easily be them some day. Sometimes people act like that when they are scared and don't know what to say....it's easier to ask you not to talk about it. But, you need to talk about it, and you can talk all you want here. You are definitely not alone! How far along in treatment are you? Please e-mail me....I am enroute from Florida to Michigan right now, but still check my mail every day.     So many of our "well" friends do not want to talk about cancer. Not because they don't care but mostly because they are afraid. They don't like to think of it happening to them & it happening to you brings it too close to home. Don't get mad with them. It's a normal reaction. I am glad we can be here for you to talk about what troubles you & your feelings of anger & frustration. Don't let the anger get in the way. It's destructive. Just read all the wonderful messages from all the survivors out there & take heart. We are here for you for all your questions as there is probably nothing that someone on the site has not experienced at some time. Thinking of you. Love & hugs
