Taste alteration post surgery.

My father had an esophagectomy on march 18th
they removed 1/3 of his stomach and part of his esophagus was removed as well.he sarted eating solids again,but due to an alteration of taste he is not able to eat meat,fish and other kind of food he used to eat before surgery-We ask the doctor and the reply was
-it's possible....
My father did'nt have chemio yet.
I would like to know if anybody in your group who had a similar experience could communicate with me to clarify that situation.Thank you.
