I am sorry to hear of your mother's struggle. My 79 year old father has also been struggling greatly with excessive mucus production since radiation for throat cancer in 2000. They even removed his voicebox this past March, and yet the phlegm production has increased.levinmar said:My mom had base of tongue cancer about 2 years ago and still has sufficating phlegm problems to the point where the phlegm is so much that she is starting to have a hard time breathing. I would also be interested if anyone has found a solution to this problem.
