For the first time since I orginally was diagosed, I have had a build up of fluid. In the past Doxil kept it under control. This time Doxil did not work as quickly as in the past. Build up was extremely painful until I had paracentisis (removal of 2 liters) I am now on low dose weekly taxil. Anyone have a similar problem, and did it return?

Thanks for responding. My fluid was in my abdomin and yes it was very painful especially in my back. I took vicodin for a week and then was put on morphin every 4-5 hrs. The draining was easy and relieved the pain immediately. I wish I had demanded it a week earlier. Doxil worked for me last year, but not effective after 3 rounds this year, so I am taking low dose taxol weekly and hoping it works. Good luck to you
