Another Test

Just wanted to keep you ladies updated in the latest 24242 health watch. It has been since Aug that I haven't been feeling that well. You know the drill wait a month and start the alert, bring it to doctors attention. Middle of Sep brought to my new doctor. Back to Cancer Clinic and pain specialist the only one who truly knows what I have been through. Not cancer, flaring up irritable bowl syndrom. Jan/02 still getting worse, more symptoms. Trip to specialist, IBS he still feels. Finally after not getting better they will agree not IBS, probably colitis. But you know we can't do anything till you have colonoscapy and biopsy the area.
March/02 the appointment, but infact just for another conceltation. This didn't sit well with me so I phone cancer clinic and pain specialist there. If a chance it is cancer, I said, we can't be waiting. She got me into procedure for next tuesday. What a relief.
The point to this post is to remind you to be your own advocate. We are the only ones who can ensure our health. Listen to your body, get things taken care of as they pop up don't deny the aches and pains we feel.
Another day of drinking crap bowl movers and clear liquids. I have had just about enough of all this testing, maybe we will finally get to the bottom of this pain in my side.
I will let you know what I find out should lknow by the end of the week or best case a couple of days.
Just another day in the my LIFE,
Tara24242

Hi,
So glad that you were finally able to get someone to listen and get your appointment moved forward. I can't believe that doctors (or whoever does the scheduling) don't realize how difficult the waiting and not knowing is. You are in our prayers. Good luck with the test and keep us updated.

Hi Tara,
Just wanted to say, "Way to go girl". I'm glad someone is listening. I will be praying that the tests go well next Tuesday and they finally are able to help you. You deserve a better quality of life - pain free. Hang in there. We will all be thinking of you on Monday night when you have to drink the aweful stuff. One thing about the test, the prep is the worst part.
God Bless,

Tara,
I am SO VERY GLAD that you finally found a doctor to listen to you. Many doctors just don't realize the agony of waiting not to mention the fact that you are sick and need to start an appropriate treatment plan.
I am sorry about the colonoscopy prep. I must admit that I hate it more each time I go through it. Stay strong and make your doctors listen. You are in my prayers.
