Permanent Hair Loss

Hi. Just wanted to let you know that you can't assume that all your hair will grow back after chemotherapy, especially you all who have been chemo once before. I had the A/C & Taxol three years ago and then the Taxotere this spring when the cancer was found in my bones. Three years ago I had no problems growing back hair, but the Taxotere caused me to lose about 2/3rds of my hair, and now after five months, there has been no new growth, not even the "baby hair." I've been told this permanent alopecia from chemotherapy is not as rare as the oncologists make you believe.
