HELP...Black Tongue???

Hi All
My tongue has suddenly turned black all over. I have never heard of this side effect from AC. Even my dr says its suprising. I'm in no pain but it looks like I sucked on black candy ... horrible!!
Did anyone else experience this?

Hi Reni,

Haven't had it, but read a little about it after reading your post.

Seems the cause is unknown, it's unsightly, and fortunately harmless.

I sometimes get geographic tongue which feels a litle sore and looks patchy like a map.

I finished chemo and my tongue never turned black. I have never heard of that happening. I hope you find out why it happened to you.

Think you'll have to re-type this or cut and paste it. Read all the way through tongue problems.

It probably is a side-effect of the chemo - everyone has a few individual quirks - not usual and expected from chemo.

Don't worry! Advice from amateur Dr.Jean LOL!!!!
