Starting new treatments

Well everyone, I am starting my weekly taxol and herceptin treatments on Tuesday. I have to admit that I am getting nervous, but have heard from quite a few of you that weekly treatments are by far very tolerable. My hair has started to grow back after finishing 4 treatments of A/C. As my husband says it is about an 1/8 of an inch long. It is very hard to see cause it is coming in soooooooo blonde. Anyway, does anyone know, will my hair continue to grow back or will it fall out again? I would love to keep my hair. It has made me feel so much better, even though I don't have very much! ONly 12 more treatment of chemo to go! I hope that these go very fast. I can't wait to be done. My friends have already started to plan a "Done with chemo party" that doesn't serve any "chemo cocktails"! I can't wait for it! THank you all so much for being so supportive of me and helping me out when I need it! I will never forget all that you have done for me! God Bless you all! Carrie

Carrie When I finished AC and swithced to Taxotere (French cousin drug to Taxol) my hair grew in. When I finished the Taxotere it started to grow faster. I had been wearing a wig to work since last December (when the hair went) I went wigless August 1st (100 days after last chemo). My hair came in darker, grayer, and very curly. It's quite short but rather stylish if I may say so. It sure feels good to have hair again!!! Good luck! Jamie0

Dear Carrie:
Hair growth is hard to predict on different chemos. Mine came out with Taxoter/Taxol, but this lady who was taking chemo at the same time I was; was on Taxol as her second line of chemos and her hair started growing back--not much but enough to see and sometimes she went without a head covering and looked okay. Best of luck, I know hair is the least of our worries but it sure helps our beaten down egos to have something to look at in the mirrow.
God bless you always,
Hugs from Brenda0
